I suppose this is pretty subjective. I've been running stock catback with various header and front pipe combos for almost as long as I've had this car. I think it sounds like a tin can muffler (aka sounds like crap), but I want quiet and performance and I'm too cheap to buy or fabricate a header-back with enough sound deadening. But hey.. some ppl like the tin can sound, I suppose.

Magnaflow...quiet, large pipe diameter, no drone, no rasp. Had one on my car and miss it. The price is decent enough to have money left over to add quad tips if you so desire.

Sounds like the cat in the front pipe was taken out of the equation in your catback. Given the lack of power gains I would again recommend just headers.

front pipe does have a pretty big effect on overall sound. Although, my experience and testing data goes against your claim of lack of gains.

Blue trace is with stock FP, purple trace with a resonated 63mm FP, red trace with a straight 70mm FP. Good midrage power gains. sounds like shit. IIRC the blue and purple traces were running the same tune. Red trace the tune was massaged a bit only other difference was the FP.

would be interesting to see the straight FP without tune difference

Everyone said it, I would say just go for HKS UEL header and any HKS exhaust combo...

Fujitsubo is nice --> I'm using this now but it's expensive brand new as well.

MXP,TRD,GREDDY,Q300 are all nice.

I has Apexi N1 Evo for 2 years & finally got tired of the drone.... To be honest I like my Apexi better still & it's just wonderful "around town"

but anytime i hit highway speed i wanna axe myself..... so ya...

Edit: @WRBrzRX I did some digging in my data zap account and found the logs for the pulls. It appears the tune was unaltered between the 63mm resonated FP and 70mm straight FP.

63mm resonated FP: http://datazap.me/u/solidone/plm-e85...68-781-887-885

70mm straight FP: http://datazap.me/u/solidone/plm-e85...1157-1137-1173

2013 OEM BRZ sounds non-fart-can mature to me.
