Uh oh, mine is coming today... What do you mean they break hangers?

The muffler section is a bit weighted and the welds on the hangers like to crack and rattle after a while. I'm not saying it'll happen to you, but it's happened to more than a few people.

Ah, I found a few posts about it. That's a little disappointing for the price, the weld quality on my N1 is stellar. Oh well, nothing a quick fat weld won't fix.

Well I tried the RTV, applied a thick bead to every flange, didn't fix it. My next plan is to have the stock midpipe cut to fit with the Y-pipe, and if that doesn't work then I'll see if I can grab a used Q300

I have JDL UEL catless headers and Q300. No rasp but some drone. Got a hooker front pipe with helmholz resonator helped a lot over stock.

don't know if you're still after the issue but i installed the exact same header back in the day and there was a certain rpm where it was too close to the underside shield and would rattle - but again only at a certain RPM range. my installer banged out that spot with a rubber mallet and the sound stopped.

The rasp has decreased a lot since I installed it, must be the break-in period. I'll keep an eye out for clearance issues when I do my oil change in about 200 miles.

That is what I got to help with drone.

I have ACE 350 Headers, Hooker Blackheart Catted/Resonated FP, Borla Catback. Car is noise free when cruising, opens up when you punch it. But not obnoxious or ricey or droney. The old school J-Pipe Helmholz resonator in the Hooker front pipe is great. Its basically old fashion noise cancellation technology.

Also Tune is huge to getting rid of annoying sounds, valve overlap ect.
