We are supposed to be seeing the Vortech at SEMA if the rumors are true.

@HKS Australia, what exhaust system is this kit tested with? Makes a big difference if it's being tested with a stock system or a Hi-Power system, stock header vs. aftermarket, etc.
Stock headers with HKS "Cat Back" exhaust.
Cheers

They don't actually specify which and I can't see either making a difference as neither will cause a restriction at this power level. The supercharger has an air inlet restrictor to limit power so the exhaust will still have plenty of flow left.

They are a great manufacturer, but at this point you are paying a premium for the brand

Well, figure out another way to get the pulley in a good position for the belt (with room for a tensioner and/or idler puller) and good belt wrap.

It's not like they can just put it anywhere.

The Vortech is in roughly the same location. I have built a custom Rotrex setup before, and I was thinking about designing one for the BRZ/FRS. I gave this some thought, and would end up putting the SC in the same location.

Looks like it's going for $4.5K. Anyone install one yet?

It looks like more vendors are offering these kits.

- Has anyone in the U.S. installed one yet?
- Does anyone know what the supplied compressor is capable of handling?

Evasive has one in their shop car (the FR-S, not their BRZ). Was the cover story on DSport recently as well. Think they made ~220 hp? They post on here, ask them or ?

I think they developed a custom kit (probably which supported the development of the kit now for sale).

I think the initial price speculation scared people away. But ~$4500 doesn't seem too terrible. I wonder how much power this system can support though.
