2013 Mustang GT or wait for 2015 Mustang GT or new model 370Z (390Z)...???

I have the FR-S and love that car. Amazing and I enjoy driving it.

My other car is a high mpg compact car. It is a great appliance car, but there is no love when driving it.

In order to satisfy my craving for high horsepower and straight line speed I am considering buying a new 2013 Mustang GT and getting rid of my appliance car.

The one problem I am having is deciding whether to wait. The 2013 Mustang GT is an amazing car with great value, but the new model is due in 2015. The new model may make the current generation insignificant with the trend of increased performance and value (not to mention the looks department). The other problem is that the new model 370Z is due in either 2014 or 2015. The current 370Z is great, but a bit overpriced (imo).

What says the mob, 2013 Mustang GT, 2015 Mustang GT, or 2015/15 370Z?

Why do you want a heavy car and poor mileage just to get more power?

I'd rather have a supercharged FRS then any of those cars. Faster, lighter, cheaper and better mpg too...

Power makes a car faster in the straights
Lightness makes a car faster everywhere

Buy yourself a Boss, their isn't alot of people buying those and dealerships around my area are selling at cost . Most of then have even sitting for about a year.
A guy on here bought one like 3k under MSRP if I'm not mistaking .

I would love to get a BOSS, but that is more than I am willing to spend. A new Mustang GT is around the 30k range and the BOSS is over 40k. Plus, the ride is a bit too harsh for a daily driver. (fyi, both would be alternating as daily drivers)

I don't think he's getting rid of the FRS... I think he's getting rid of his other car in order to buy a mustang for times when he wants to go fast on the straight.

I will be keeping the FR-S and getting rid of the commuter appliance car.

i was thinking about waiting for the 2014/15 Z because supposedly they are trying to go back to a smaller displacement. that is what has been teased at least. i don't know what they would do with the name though because everyone would think it to be a downgraded/cheap Z if they called it a 250Z... it will be interesting to see, but probably won't be the high horsepower machine you think it's going to be.

I haven't heard anything on the 2015 mustang, but ford is the only american car i would think about buying. not necessarily because they make the best cars (they do btw), but rather they have some pride in what they do and don't do rush engineering (volt anyone?). the mustang is due for a makeover, and i'd like to see where they go with it. the horsepower for their V8 is only going to go up if u wait!

but yeah... i was going crazy waiting for a car, so i bought the BRZ. i would have been waiting forever, because every year, some company teases that they are making something amazing, and it sounds great, but can potentially be a let down... the BRZ was far from a let down.

The New G (Q50) will be revealed in a few days the Z will share its engine. And there won't be any downgrading atleast in horsepower, the Z and G (Q50) will feature the VQ30VDT with around 330bhp thanks to turbocharging.

I say go for a Boss 302 LSE

Rare as they were only around for 2 season and Ford doesn't plan to bring it back

I think the new 370Z will be like the old one, the harder you push it the less rewarding it is.

I'd wait and see, worse case in 2015 is you could buy a 2013 GT mustang...

I'm gonna be the crazy one here.

If you just want fast, and the FRS will be your good mileage car, and you have a 30k budget..

Wait for a C6 Z06 to fall into your price range.

I had the opportunity to take a Boss Laguna Seca for a few laps last summer and I was amazed at the progress Ford has made in the last five years.

I am really enthusiastic about what they have in store for 2015. I feel the trend set by the twins will help steer the development in a positive direction.
