We're hoping for around April. We have not finalized pricing just yet but it will be somewhere in the teens. We are trying to keep it under 16-1700.

We decided against printing out the upright in black, so here is the purple beauty in all her glory. We have finalized a shape for the upright we thoroughly like as do others that care about the visuals; we're getting those cut shortly out of 6061.

The wing was developed in CFD on and off the car to make sure we hit maxiumum efficiency. That is how we were able to have a wing that will produce 11.5 lbs of downforce for every 1 lb of drag.

The picture below is part of that CFD. This is an on car wing analysis that was done for optimization of the height of the wing from the trunk lid. The height is critical to verify clean air is interacting with the wing. Too low and we are not getting proper airflow and lose efficiency. Too high and we are getting unnecessary drag and a larger moment to change the aero balance of the car.

Hi, I'm not looking to buy a wing, but it occur to me, instead of reprinting in black, why not just give it a shot of black paint with a spray can?

Great design by the way.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves. And probably hire Nico to clean up your operation

Can this be had in gold just like you LCA?
If yes, list me up!

I am a bit shocked how the wing looks on the car. But performance matters and therefore I am in.

We could probably do that. It would come at an additional cost though and a lead time, as we are not going to make gold standard. A UV resistant black anodize will be the standard.

With the aluminum uprights we prototyped (months ago), we tested some weight on the wing on the car. This is 160 pounds, which isn't a ton but enough to test how the uprights, mounts, and wing handle that weight at this point. So far so good.

Thanks,
Eric

We will be going live on Facebook and Instagram today at 1 pm eastern about some of the analysis that went on developing the wing and the wing to the FRS/BRZ. We will be going over performance numbers and showing in depth the CFD analysis. It will be a great way to check out more information on the wing and ask questions live.

With this work with aftermarket carbon fiber trunks or does the design use the OEM trunk in some special way (structural, mounting, etc.)

Honestly, depends on how the carbon trunk is designed/copied/built. Structurally, how we have designed it to mount, it needs a lot of what the OE trunk offers. I cannot know for sure how aftermarket companies reinforce the trunk or not, but it would need to be similar to what OE does.

I apologize it took me this long to post the pictures of the trunk opening. Here they are, pretty uneventful as it opens without an issue .

Thank you,
Eric

Might be a stupid question but are you going to cut away the thin material for the uprights leaving it looking more skeletal? Didn't know if it would be affected by crosswinds... (ventus)

Cutting out the uprights' center sections would hurt the performance of the rear wing, which is why we designed the uprights the way they are. Hope that answers your question.

Thanks,
Eric
