Removing Side Mirror Caps

Does anyone if it's possible to remove the side (paint-matched) mirror caps and re-install them without having to remove the whole mirror assembly from the car, and the small motor for tilting the mirrors in order to access the clips?

I imagine they should be able to come off like most of the other trim pieces, but I'm worried anout breaking a clip, and I don't know how easy it would be to get them re-installed and clipped in correctly.

Has anyone tried this, or know if this is something that can be done just by prying the mirror cap off?

Yes, they just clip off / on. Had mine off a couple of times with no issues.

Thanks! Yeah I had another member let me know that they can just be pried off with a non-marring tool, and clipped back in, so that answered my question.

Thanks for confirming!

I'm planning to vinyl wrap my mirror caps, so this information was greatly appreciated!
