What new "C-Type" Bolts? According to the article translated by krazie, the "New bolts" were already added to model year 2014. |

My B-type was made in August 2013 so I don't know if I have it (I don't have jacks). The funny thing is that according to Subaru Japan's website (can't find the link anymore), B-type production started in September 2013, my car was made in August 2013. Mine is ZC6BYE8. The first 3 chars are the car model (ZC6 == BRZ), 4th character denotes type (A == MY2013, B == MY2014, C == MY2015), last 3 chars denotes the build spec and trim (YB == North America, last digit 8 == Type S trim, 7 == Type R trim and 6 == Type RA trim). I think S stands for Superior, R stands for Regular, RA stands for Race Application. Last edited by krayzie; 05-20-2014 at 08:00 PM. |

That article says that the bolts were changed in the middle of the B-type / MY2014 run, so only the newer 2014s would have it.. also it only speaks of the shock mounting bolts, not the ones in the steering system?

I believe the steering rack reinforcement comes only on the BRZ tS, not all 2015 models.

So I just checked out the Subaru Japan BRZ site and they have photochopped all the press pix to reflect the changes with the MY2015 model.
I now see that both R and S trims will have stitched knee pads as standard. http://www.subaru.jp/brz/brz/grade/ And even the cheap 2014 FRS have stitched knee pads. WTF SOA!! |

Well...according to head office the only way to get the STi rims is with the BRZ SE. :/
They won't be available otherwise. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
