Well, 2 weeks and 2 days ago I took the plunge and ordered an FR-S. I was torn between two colors and ended up deciding on an Asphalt MT.

Yesterday I received a call from Craig at Leith Toyota in Raleigh. He said they had a Black MT on the lot. Apparently the person who ordered it either found another one or changed their mind. He offered to let me come down and drive it. At this point I had not gotten a chance to drive one. I went down, drove the car for a couple of miles.

After the test drive I was sold. Although I had ordered an Asphalt the look of this car in black made me fall in love. I signed the paper work and took her home (2 weeks and 1 day of waiting. I am so glad the wait is over!)

Time to get through the first 1000 miles so I can go have some real fun in this car.

any plans to mod your car or keep stock ?

Plans change but right now I plan to keep it stock for the first couple of years. I will do some small things but nothing major until I get past warranty.

I want to get the windows tinted, new tires and add a spoiler in the short term but I have a wife to negotiate with to ensure a happy home stays intact while I dream up modifications for it.

Congrats! Nothing wrong with keeping it mostly stock for a while. There are years of fun to be enjoyed even with a bone stock model. :happy0180:

Awesome pick up! The same thing kind of happened to me. I went in to check out a whiteout frs. Saw the raven instead and fell in love. Walked out with it that same night.

Raven will be fun to keep clean!

I have read countless posts about people checking the car out and asking if it cost 50k. I have had this car only 24 hours and in one day I have been shocked by the positive attention the car gets (demands).
