I was able to spend the last four hours out on the production floor working alongside the maintenance guys putting in a new machine we built. God I missed that. Sitting on my ass and designing all day is fun, but something about getting your hands greasy and your knees beat up is refreshing as hell.

Oh god, I would have about 10 Union Reps in my office screaming if that happened here. Had an Engineer pick up a part that dropped once and they were all over me for "taking their Brother's work away from them".

Oh, you have no idea. I have actually heard, in Chattanooga Tennessee, a person from one old Chattanooga family refer to another old family from the same place as "carpetbaggers". Bear in mind that she was referring to living people!!!

Where my dad grew up in Alabama, their family was still referred to as northerners because his grandfather moved down from New York instead of living there his whole life.

Ooooookay @Ultramaroon, @Dimman, @stugray @Koa

I have the option of taking physics in the summer, 6 weeks long roughly 17 chapters of integral physics over electricity and MAGNETISM. Should I do it?

The fuck are you asking me for??? My most recent bout with that kind of shit was receiving a massive ass-kicking by a Circuit Analysis course. Prior to that, squeaking by Physics 11. And gotta go into the wayback machine for that.

(But not the waywaywaywayback machine, like TCoat.)

So in my heeeeavily biased (but realistically irrelevant) opinion, no fucking way.

Heh...

what is your major?
As an EE I had to take EM Fields & Waves I, II, & III in addition to calc based physics I&II then Modern Physics & Intro to Quantum Mechanics.

So I guess it depends on what you are focusing on

Automotive engineering, i have to go through wave&field calculus based physics and statics, thermodynamics.

I would love to take Modern Physics because learning about special relativity and quantum physics would make me feel really freakin smart lol, but! Not required, ill do that later.

You're not ready. First you have to learn how to spell magnetism.

Depends on whether or not your heart's in it. Sometime's a break is good. I enjoyed taking a summer class if I wasn't taking a full load. Less pressure. Refreshing change of pace.
