Torque solution motor mounts
Hey guys,
Just wondering if anybody has tried the torque solution engine mounts? Ive been in-between the torque solution and the Perrin. I think the Perrin are a bit over priced since they give you the capability to pull the engine easier... which I probably won't do in a long long time so I don't feel the need for that. Which concludes why I don't care to pay the extra $100 or something dollars. Thanks for any input anyone has. |

No it doesn't. I just want to get them because I recently got some solid transmission mounts and don't want the engine moving a bit while the transmission has little to no play. Im sure it won't be good to throw on the solid mounts without strengthened motor mounts.

It theoretically reduces lag from input to time it hits the ground, but the throttle response is likely to remain a little laggy. It helped me with exhaust rattle against the frame under torque as well, which is why I got STI mounts in the first place.

Depends on what you call a "problem"..
My reasoning for stiffening up the driveline was so that I didn't waste the little bit of torque it DOES have twisting equipment. Get that power to the ground baby!! I also hated seeing my shifter move when going from hard acceleration to hard deceleration and vise-a-versa. It's different for everyone though, for me, I'm OK with the added NVH and I do occasional track days. I'm running Cusco mounts for what it's worth on this thread. |

How do you like your sti mounts? Is there a significant difference from stock?

You don't put stiffer motor mounts on without knowing that your NVH is going to increase. If you want it to feel cushy and quiet, keep the stock ones. |
