Should I change my oil?

Running factory oil and filter.

Went to a "drift practice" event (86 Dynamic Driving to be exact) at around 3,500 miles. This was last month.

Car is now at 4,800 miles.

Going to another event this Aug 10th.

Should I change the oil afterwards or before? I'll also be taking it to the dealer at 7,500.

Is this the oil that the car originally came with?

If it's never been changed I would do so before next event then again at 7.5K miles.

Easy Litmus test - Do you have enough money in the bank for a new motor? Yes? Keep the oil until the scheduled change. No? Change the oil.

Ok, that settles it, I'm going to Autozone to pick up oil and filter. What's a good brand from there?

I can't order from ft86speedfactory because there's no guarantee it will arrive on my doorstep on Friday.

Get the filter from a Subaru dealer. Pretty much the cheapest I've found.

Buy a Honda S2000 filter. You can drop by and pick up some Motul from us.

Thanks guys, I actually just realized I can drop by Evasive Motorsports since it's near my place. As much as I'd like to do the oil change my own, I have no time for it right now.
