My curiosity got the best of me, so I went ahead and updated my old Pixel (kept my DD Pixel 2 "as-is" for now tho).

As far as I can tell, the biggest update is the OS navigation buttons (ie "back"/triangle, "home"/circle and "multitask"/square). It's now been replaced by a tiny back button and a little "tab" that you can do gestures with: press for "home", swipe left/right to cycle through open apps, swipe up for search bar and most used apps, etc. Seems to make navigation with one hand a little smoother and not as "tappy" lol I haven't figured out how to do multi-window though... hope that feature isn't gone.

Reading more about it, there's a bunch of "under the hood" updates too ie better battery life, etc. I'll keep playing with it to see if I like it.

How often do Samsung's get updates usually? Pixels are always first but that also means they get the most bugs lol

Interesting. Keep us updated. I'm trying to find a couple other guinea pigs before I install it lol

Not sure. This is my first Samsung phone. It's updated once or twice since I got it, but I'm not sure what those android updates were.

My wife had an S8+ for a while and Samsung wasn't really that fast with updating it (well, compared to Nexus phones and Pixels, any brand would). Not sure if that has changed recently tho.

Actually, so far so good. Haven't ran any into bugs so far. I actually kinda like this set-up, feels smoother and easier to operate with one hand (ie a lot less "reaching" across the screen with my thumb, etc.). Also, if you turn on dev mode and switch off all the animations, it can be pretty snappy.

I also figured out how to do the multi-task (view 2 apps at a time) mode and its actually a lot less cumbersome to use.

Still lots of features I haven't been able to "use". We'll see if we can break this thing lol

I'm fine with the way my S9+ is right now. I'm charging every 2 to 3 days, or 6 to 8 hours of SOT. But if that update can extend those out even more...lol

For all the peasants who can't afford a 911 RGT rally car, I guess a Cayman GT4 RGT will just have to do...

Weeks later, while shooting the shit between songs at band practice, my brother asked me "What's the deal between you guys? Are you, like, together?"

I told him how cool she was and that we were good friends.

Then he asks "Didn't you just do something major to your car? Did she help you with that?"

"Oh yeah!" I say. "She was right there pulling parts and holding up brackets when we pulled my transmission."

Then he says "Dude. She helped you drop your transmission. She's your girlfriend."

Suddenly, all in a flash it ran through my head and I realized "Hell, yeah. She's my girlfriend!"

Meh, I guess. I'd drive it if the frs was in the shop or something.
