Everyone drive at your own pace when going out there. The forecast says possible rain on Friday and maybe in the morning on sat. That means the road might be wet... So be safe and if you don't feel comfortable at the speed your group is going in the rain then slow down. This is not a race....

yes. but i will respond by having my extended family help bring out all the cars in my household. LOL jk. If you're comfy having Crystal tackle the Mines Rd curves in your FRS go for it.

Bump for this Saturday's event, and a few reminders...

Be prepared. Be sure to bring enough cash for lunch, and enough gas in your car to make it to the meet location and back. Once you're out there it's probably at least 25-30 mi to the nearest ATM or gas station so life would suck if you had to turn back... also know where you're going. Don't just assume the person in front of you knows where they're going, have the address/location noted and in your navi/phone. Though I should point out there is virtually no cell phone service when you get out there...

Sweet prizes are awaiting! If you will not be able to attend but you have earned STARS this summer and want to still be eligible to win prizes, we will have a way for you to still enter -- just post up a photo of your 86DRIVE card with your name and your STARS on it and we will make sure your entries will be included in the drawing. Please do so by Friday, Oct 17 @ 12PM Pacific in order to be in the drawings! I don't want to be sitting on the forum monitoring last minute entries and tallying up stars on Fri night, and I sure won't have time on Sat morning, so I will stick to the strict cutoff. If you don't post by then and don't make it to the meet before the raffle begins ~1pm, you will not be counted for the raffle!

Be safe. Thanks @RC51ed for the reminder to be safe on the roads, hopefully leaders of each caravan heading out to the meet will also have a quick safety talk before the drives start. If we observe any unsafe driving or obnoxious behavior we may ask you to leave the event so please just be smart and be safe we're trying to have fun not ruin anyone's day. People crash and get severely injured on these roads. Don't be that guy.
