It’s been rough this year for sure. We went right from winter to summer. Normally we at least get 2-5 weeks of spring. The older I get the more I hate the cold though. I went to Utah in May for a week and the whole time I was counting down the days to get out of the wet, gloomy cold and see the sun again. Blue Ridge sounds good though and you have the perfect car for those roads. |

Bought another carseat. Happy to report that both the old Cosco seat and this new Graco fit well. Had to use a rolled towel to fill some of the empty space, but now it's very secure, actually moreso than my in-laws Accord with leather seats. There's almost no slack in any direction. The red on this Graco matches the FRS interior.
Agree, I'm really enjoying E85 for street driving. You can still have that "slow car fast" fun without feeling like the car is just crawling to redline.

Did my first autox event. Definitely extremely happy with how the car handles straight off the factory floor. Feels good getting faster times than cars with double the tire and double the horsepower!

Today I crashed my FR-S into a dirt/rock wall and spun out into a ditch.

I hate detailing cars. The last time I waxed my FRS was 11/2017. So I guess it's due. I'm a Meguiar's carnauba paste wax guy, but since it's a lot less work I gave Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine Spray Wax a try. Also being on sale at Walmart and Amazon for $4.80 for a 16 oz bottle is a plus. https://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Wax-50.../dp/B07NW9D8FG
This is a hybrid water based carnauba/siloxanes wax. Wash your car, spray it on a panel at a time, wipe it off with a microfiber cloth, done. Damn that was easy. It took me about 20 minutes, and the shine is about the same as with straight carnauba paste wax. If you get it on the black vinyl/rubber it leaves no residue. It also has a very pleasant smell. Thankfully everyone is fine. My friend doesn't have any marks at all, but I've got some bruises on my neck/shoulder from the seatbelt. I think what helped is how the seats really cradle you so you can't side out of them.
Surprisingly the airbags didn't even go off. We were going around a turn and the rear swung out into a dirt/rock wall that runs along the side of the road. The car bounced off of that and did a 360 into a ditch. There's an entrance to a construction site 50 feet up the road, so the road is pretty slippery from the dirt/sand/tiny rocks the trucks drag out. I'm really deviated. I can't believe I crashed such a nice car |

That's going to take a lot of "rubbing out" to fix - Hey, don't be too "deviated", your car will fix up to be as good as new - If you feel like talking about it, I'm curious as to whether or not you had the ESC turned OFF? humfrz |
