sickspeed louvers

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4foU0lK_Iw"]Sickspeed Louver Installation Video for FRS/BRZ - YouTube[/ame]

Wish there were more shots of this. Looks pretty clean so far.
They're 399 w/ free shipping. I think they look much cleaner than Ikons.

Only thing I don't like is that the louver screws are silver. On the TRD they're black so they don't stick out - also the sickspeed louvers are a little too shiny, but it might be the lighting.

And they too have that cutout for brake light like TRD's. Not best lookers for ones that have brake light relocated to top.

Didn't know these existed! Off to look at them more.. They are a bit shiny in the video, so I would want to see more photos.

Sickspeed products are generally incredibly low quality.

Proceed with extreme caution.

Slightly angry with myself that I bought the ikons. I like these a lot more. I'll wait to see how far the price falls once other sellers start carrying these as I'm 100% they're just coming from China.

I am torn on this. I did a search on Sickspeed quality and got very mixed reviews. Some things seem to be OK but other are trash (do NOT buy their lug nuts!). What scares me the most is that the very most common statement in reviews was "The XXX was good for the price". Since many of the reviews were on forums where the "builds" were obviously done as cheap as possible I question the reviewer's judgment on what is "good". Not a slam of people on a budget but if they feel that their $50 Ebay wing is "great" but the $12 Sickspeed shift knob is only "good" then just what kind of quality is the stuff?
I will wait until somebody here is willing to be the guinea pig and give a review on this particular product that I can trust.

Personally I'd rather get the official TRD ones or nothing.

Do the ikons look the same?

I would as well but I priced getting them here and I would have to have another child so I could sell it to be able to justify the costs. I am not cheap and have the disposable income but damn even then I have to draw the line someplace.

Shrug.

Money is meant to be spent, not saved. You get what you pay for. You only live once. You aren't getting any younger, etc etc

That's where I am as well. the price for the TRD ones is just too damn high, particularly once you factor in shipping.

In the case of the TRD ones though, you are paying for some quality and a lot of name brand it seems to me.
