Why so serious? I wasn't calling you out. I saw many people in this thread do that. And I understand if people are just too lazy to fix the autocorrect, but judging by how defensive you got over this generalization, it seems that you don't want to be characterized as not understanding the difference between the two. Meaning you judge people who misuse them as well.

Food for thought.

Lol no I don't judge, I have a bad sense of self defense. Family and coworkers really pull my strings knowing this. And also because English was my subject. Albeit in England. So my spelling of certain words are automatically wrong in the states.

Chill pill noted!

YEP! Honour, colour, flavour, analyse, calibre, centre and so on, and so on!
I can have so many red lines under words that I KNOW are spelled right that I can totally miss ones that are wrong!

Watch, after all this madness and they're out of ideas, it'll all be options..

Oh well, it is what it is, either way I'm happy with my car, just wish they had options.
You have the US market to thank for this. Scion was created to generate interest from the younger market adopting their stupid "monospec" sales technique in order to maintain their cars in the sub $30k market. If the car was branded a Toyota in the States, it easily would have come with options. I mean they got Corollas coming off the lot with HIDs.....

Also you should go look up how much our cars go for outside of the US. If anything we should be happy we're getting them for so cheap.

For me I would prefer the same engine, but structurally superior so it's red line would be around 8400 rpm, with it reaching ~240 hp and 200 lb*ft @ 8000 rpm.

I actually Really love RS Series!! Just the COLOR Oh THE COLOR...... GOD

For real guys, We are just hating cuz Scion market is so out of touch with reality as we know. Sadly it will be a totally different story if it comes in RED or WHITE with JDM rear Bumper.
* but then we will get endless threads complaining about how scion screw them up.

I picked up the RS 1.0 because it's a limited edition so it will hold value a little better (not here to debate this so don't bother trying to give me some 5 year breakdown with your personal opinion about how you think it won't), has a quad exhaust that I like the look of, is only available in a one-off flashy color, and gets better gas mileage than my (currently broken) Evo while still being somewhat fun to daily drive. It looks nice, it's unique for the platform, and it's rare enough to be a novelty. One of the best things about life is that every living being is a unique little snowflake. Just because you don't like something and don't understand why others do like it doesn't mean that those people are wrong. If you hate the RS 1.0 so much then why waste your time worrying about it?

Side note... I actually plan to sell mine in the next 2-4 months but that's more because the FR-S/BRZ platform isn't as fun as I thought it would be and I'd rather dedicate the money towards fixing my purpose built Evo for auto-cross and track.

Its just a regular FRS with TRD bodykits, which is about the right price if you want to import all the things and do the painting yourself. Personally I think the monogram series is something that has a better value, but the RS1.0 is definitely not a rip off here. TRD actually has quite a lot of fans in japanese domestic market, for people who appreciate JDM parts but are not willing to mess around with mods the RS1.0 is quite a nice deal.

This is just in my opinion.

I've owned a few of these cars and been on the forum for sometime now I just wish the members here could learn to welcome new owners vs putting down their new car.

Not every Scion FR-S model is going to be liked by every owner but there's not point saying negative things about the car really it's the same car you drive minus the color and different options.

So in closing here's some of mine and I liked everyone of them for their unique color and features.

Would I buy an RS 1.0? Probably not, bit too loud of a car for my own personal taste. I do think they're cool in their own way though. BUT! What I certainly wonder about, is why some people bought the RS 1.0 and then have swapped out the TRD stuff (exterior stuff at least) for something from another company. In my opinion, that defeats the purpose a little bit, but to each his own.
