Capitol Subaru might not be, but everyone else is as far as I know.
Serramonte - 6k (at least) Carlsen - 1k Stevens Creek - ~3k Putnam - 2-3k iirc Those were the quoted markups when pre-orders were being taken in late April/early May. No idea if those are still accurate or not though. |

The San Mateo Putnam Subaru had like a 10k mark up last time I was there a few days ago.

Was that for the WRB 6MT Lim they just got in? I was debating making the drive down there tomorrow if it was still there...I guess I won't waste my time now. |

Paul Moak Subaru in Jackson MS has a white 6 speed premium on the showroom floor with a $2500.00 addendum for these 5 accessories:
1. carbon fiber key chain 2. windshield visor 3. chrome fuel cap 4. STI oil cap 5. STI battery hold down bracket No way these 5 options are worth $500.00 apiece. They are just gouging the buyer.

Put ontario subaru in california as well. Just saw their ads through edmunds.com and the price is over 34k. No wonder they have two in stock

Fitzgerald Auto Mall, Gaithersburg MD
I went for a test drive there last week and was told to make it short. Right after I pull out of the dealers lot, I was told immediately to make a U-turn after 2 traffic lights down the street. I feel very uncomfortable test driving the car, obviously that defeats the purpose of test drive since I didn't get to TEST the car. My top speed was under 40mph with that short 5 min drive. WTF!!! Ohh don't bother asking them to appraise for a trade in because they will LIE about the KBB value to LOW BALL the shit out of you. Never going back there and will warn friends, coworkers and relatives. Originally Posted by Fitzgerald Auto Mall, Gaithersburg MD (Tbxgz) Fitzgerald Auto Mall in Gaithersburg MD just slapped on $2000 mark up fee. Then failed to mention today was his day off. A number of other posters around here have had really bad experiences with Fitzgerald as well. I highly recommend avoiding them if you are in the DMV area. Annapolis, Herb Gordon, and Beyer Subaru in Alexandria, are far better options with FAR better reputations. Seems like all the Subaru dealers are shady and greedy. Scion is easier to get but is the BRZ interior that much better? In the longer run these Subaru stealer will end up hurting from (lack of) sales and when these cars are available in numbers, they'll have to discount them below invoice.

This SFBay list is plain ridiculous! I recommend all SF Bay waitlisters to call CO dealers (Colorado Springs is where I called) and get the car trucked in.. PM me if you have questions on the process (I was leery of the process myself but it was pretty smooth for sight unseen). Screw the local dealers and pay them a visit when you get your car for 6-7k cheaper and make them change your oil/fix your chirp.

In August I went to the Toyota in St. Augustine, Florida and they were marking up their FRS by $5,000.00 and no test drives until you've signed to buy. What a joke, I laughed in the guy's face and left. They might have changed their ways by now... not interested in ever going there again.
