I find the car to be comfortably snug. The seats are well-bolstered, soft, and stay cool enough for you longer jaunts. Visibility is excellent, though the front C pillars are a little thick. I'm using a concave Broadway rear-view mirror, so I can see a good deal more than with the stock rear-view mirror. The car hasn't drawn much criticism from the missus, except when it comes to cargo space and ingress/egress height.

You're right on with the fact that this car is fun, though. Good luck!

The only negative is if you have a passenger trying to nap, the headrest is at an awkward angle, plus the stiff suspension. But I love it for my work commute (27mi each way). I haven't tried longer commutes but I would imagine they would eventually become unpleasant if the roads weren't in decent condition.

im 6'4"-6'5", 220-225 lbs, a little above average build, and i have no issues with the car. after i installed the oem armrest, comfort short up 100%. my only real complaints besides the useless back seats is the blind spot over my left shoulder and the fact i have to sit so far back i really have to reach for the shifter.

plus driving with a helmet at 6'2"+ is impossible. i drive like a gangsta when i autocross.

It's not too bad for daily driving. It is a stiffer car than most cars out there. Like others mentioned, watch out for tricky blind spots.
My mom drives toyota venza and she couldn't see me when I was behind her. She could only see the antenna haha

Anyways, seats are nice though. Go to scion dealer and test drive one.

My other car is a 2011 GTI, which a lot of reviewers complained was too stiff on the factory 18" wheels. Let's just say the FR-S is a notch or two stiffer than that. You'll definitely be avoiding potholes and slowing down for bumps. Sport suspension and low COG means the FR-S corners flat, but it's not for everyone. The average person would say it rides harshly over bumps.

The seats are very comfortable and nicely bolstered, provided you fit. I'm average build (5'9, 170) and the seats fit me like a glove. Visibility is surprisingly good for a low sports car, but unlike an SUV or even a hot hatch, you sit lower than most cars. To give you a sense of how low this car is:

For what it's worth, despite the GTI being softer and more comfortable, I daily drive the FR-S and rack up a lot more miles on it. Sometimes fun > comfort.

Mine is DD and its great. Seats are good, and my only real complaint is the lack of an armrest....

Had mine for 11 months and is a DD. Handles great, good gas mileage. Probably wouldn't take it on a long distance trip. Sits very low so getting in and out of the car can be a bit of a challenge.

1 yr and 18k miles later its fine as a DD. If you want more comfy the BRZ ltd seats are much nicer than FRS seats. but the ride is not bad since the tires are soft, even as low as it is. And the seats will fit. Im 5' 10" 200lbs + and they were tight at first, but stretch out nice in the end once the material breaks in.

Mind you Im coming from an STi on coils and an 07 mini cooper (hardest ride ever imo) so It could all be relative to me. haha

I should check out the BRZ maybe.. Just like the all inclusive approach of the
FRS.. Thanks for your input

I agree.. I just dont want to get beat up on a daily basis.. It sounds like FRS
is a good compromise.. At least the wheelbase is over 100" .. that helps makes for a smoother ride..

6'2" and 195. My upper back is just a little broad for the upper seat bolsters, but I've found it is actually pretty nice to wedge myself in- great support and no lateral movement. I've been daily driving since November and have a little over 5k miles, including one 20 hr round-trip over the course of a weekend. Roads in my part of town are all pretty decent, but there are a couple that are rough and you do feel it. I could see where it might be annoying if you had to do those type of roads all the time. I admit having been a little nervous at making my daily driver a sports car, but I still have no regrets. I am looking forward to an upcoming 36 hr round trip in a couple of months and hopefully many more over the next ten plus years I hope to drive this car.
