Seriously, I think it looks better all black, as it gives the impression of a larger opening, which I really like. I'm tempted to cut the whole thing open and cover with a nice black mesh (and paint beam). Getting enough chips in the bumper that I don't think it'll really be a big deal to hack it up...
Funny you say that because I found this pic of it without the mustache:

If anything, just paint it glossy black or something. Paint matching it looks.. quite weird.

Yep, not good! Just was trying to see what it would look like! This one looks much better but eh, I won't be doing this!

Paint matched in a dark color doesn't look as bad as I thought it would, but still terrible. It makes me only want to rip my fingernails off instead of my eyes out. Interesting thought though.

With that "moustache" piece, I would just cut it off and will the area with some black mesh or something. Behind it though is the bumper reinforcement bar though so I would just spray that black to hide it. Just an idea I came up with and plan to do when I get a BRZ.

Only the white car for sure has the grille opened up, I've seen it in other threads, although I'm pretty certain the beam was removed (don't quote me on that). The others are "digitally enhanced."

I've seen others go ahead and cut the plastic and just never get around to doing anything with the opening or painting the beam. Now THAT just looks like ass.

If anything I would love to make a custom Ram air intake like the Griffon concept. That would be so cool on the BRZED

Discovered a slow leak in my RR tire on Saturday. Took it to Discount Tire on Monday only to discover that a screw was too close to the sidewall for the tire to be repairable.

I would have to buy another "Prius" tire OR be FORCED to upgrade to a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

Yes, I was FORCED.

The tires were installed today ... a bit noisier [who cares?], with razor sharp handling and instantaneous turn-in at low-to-moderate speeds. I'll push hard this weekend once the mounting lubricant is fully dry.

Didn't want to spend the $, but I'm sure glad to have an excuse to replace the factory donuts.

That's one nice excuse to upgrade tires. Damn.

I finished the installation of a Diode Dynamics kit. Did the dome light, mirror lights, door, licence plate and the trunk.

I think the two biggest improvements are the dome light and trunk. I can finally see what's in the trunk at night.
