Nar not really. Kinda hard for me to believe I plonked down 40k for a new car. I try to block it out from the back of my mind by buying more stuff for it... that usually helps.

IMO, many other cars out there look great, rx7, 370z and I love how they all look, some large some smaller and nimble, but they have that distinct jdm look.

on the other hand, I reckon that the 86 has a very nice nimble look that in same ways resembles a mini supercar. In fact, many people have commented others asking "is that the new maserati" or similar questions. Which is great!

Now of course you might not like that "look" and thats of course fine, but imho, i think its hard to say that this car looks "bad" or someone could genuinely dislike the look of the car as a whole.

None at all. Despite having higher HP cars in the past, this is the best car I have ever driven/owned.

So basically it will be easier to believe you plonked 49k for a car! It makes sense to me (sort of..actually no) Are you single or something? If you are, that explains it. If you are not...soon you will be! Just kidding!

Sold my S15 to get the 86 as well. The 86 is 200mm shorter, about the same width (20mm wider I think) and the same height.

Not quite sure how a smaller car is "bigger and bloated" but each to their own.

I still miss my S15 as well, but I'd never go back. This car has 12 year newer technology than my S15 had.

Broome Toyota were pretty good. 350 bucks to deliver the car from Broome to Perth.

Some good ones:

Galleria Toyota (morely)
City Toyota

Stay away from Melville, even though my family has bought 2 brand new cars from them in the last few years. They just had no clue

The only issue that I have is how easily it is to scratch , which is a real bugger on a new car.

Same! My original July order is still waiting for a build date. Early October I snagged an I allocated one which I take delivery of in early Jan

Funnily enough I had an Elise prior to the 86.

The. 86 is 95% of the fun (and on public roads more than that), 150% of the practicality, 40% of the cost, and 1000% of the build quality.

Plus it has ABS, bags, and is waterproof, and you can see out of it.

Sell the 86 to someone who'll appreciate it.
