I watched this video soon after it was posted, it's nice to see a video from someone who has built a reliable setup. Would love more frequent updates, although it looks like now the car has gone non-turbo.

Every 86 should have come with a turbo? We are full of factory turbo car options nowadays. No need for another one.

Besides the fiata name one similar in size and weight and driven by the rear wheels. What is there?

It's nice to see that nothing has changed here. Picking up my new 86 soon and i've been toying with both ideas of a mild turbo build vs a full N/A car. I just love the modding possibilities these vehicles have now.

I quite like my 200 NA horses. If I’d wanted a turbo, there are dozens of cars I could have chosen.

We have a high-compression, high-rpm, dual-injector NA engine to begin which has more than enough power. Then, there are so many options for turbo and supercharger for the ones who want it. Do you realize that stock turbo will take away all these options?

I don't want turbo for example. I prefer a free-flowing header and Rotrex. If you want turbo go install one. I only like when my Rotrex whines.

OR!

Just hear me out on this...

They have multiple trim levels instead of just one turbo variant.

Sell the cheaper base versions, with a handful of turbocharged models in the top tier trim.

But be careful who you tell that the car needs a TC/SC. There are some pretty hardcore purists out there.

If I was calling the shots, I would have made an "S" or "R" model with more performance, but they didn't ask me.

I would consider the Genesis coupe 2.0t in our class, despite being substantially heavier.

Do you consider the 4cyl Mustang and Camaro in our class too? Because the Camaro is actually lighter and shorter wheel base.

Genesis
wheel base 111
weight 3399

Mustang
Wheel base 107
weight 3532

Camaro
wheel base 110
Weight 3354

Feels like the class should have a 3000lb weight limit to me.

I don't see why not. They all have similar interests in mind, being relatively lightweight, affordable, RWD sports cars.
