Then go with the GTX2867. On pump, you will be in the low 300s and with water meth you will be in the high 300s.

Do you guys anticipate any issues fitting your kit (gtx2867r) to the 2017 models?

Anyone with PTUNING how long (miles) have you guys had the kit on your car? I'm right at 30K and when I do boost I do plan on keeping it for as long as the engine remains reliable.

Do I have anything to really worry about?

We don't anticipate any issues fitting our V2 turbo system on the 2017 model given what we know of the changes on the 2017 model.

My first BRZ had 12K boosted miles on in and about 2 dozen track days but then I sold the car for other reasons and bought another BRZ, moved the turbo over. 22K miles on this second BRZ and no catastrophic issues. I don't foresee anything major failing for a long time. It really depends on the tune and how well you treat your car.

Can Ptuning share any dyno testing results comparing their 3" turbo back exhaust to a 2.5" setup? What kind of power gains or losses between the different piping sizes?

The 3" no matter what will allow the turbo to spool better because less back pressure.

If the turbo had it its way, they turbo would have a dump tube like my hayabase had.

Maybe I am getting old but the 3" is pretty loud driving too and from the track.
Wondering what kind of power loss I would see with a 2.5" setup (invidia q300 or something).

I've been wandering the same thing! I'll definitely sacrifice 10 hp for a quieter cabin

I keep hearing this. How is this so different in power? most turbos for this car are small anyways. The bigger the more lag correct? I have already put a 2.5" cat-back on, the whole time haven't really decided to go turbo or not. Now I'm looking to get headers. I'm sure there is still great gains with a 2.5" and I don't really feel like buying another cat-back.

My buddies nameless axel back with NA is louder than my FBM 3" setup with turbo. For a daily the car is fantastic 3k and under. Yes when the dump pipe open its loud but driving normal is fantastic. I should make a video for everyone. Im even running the 3" overpipe.

Shameless plug incoming but I know I LOVE LOVE LOVE videos and research like crazy when it comes to exhaust videos.. For those who need any interior or exterior sound clips with a 3" exhaust you can check out my Instagram - Firestorm_Mookus I'm currently running the ptuning 3" converted to single exit and the interior cabin noise is great with little to no drone.. The exhaust comes alive at WOT but city driving it's so tame and I love it.. I have some clips when I was open wastegate but now I'm recirculating wastegate on E85 with a 30r turbo and much more power.. Check it out and if you have any questions ask away
