Would they be set up to turn on when the doors are opened?? or just a switch to turn them on/off whenever you want?

Depends where you wire them up. You can have them on when you turn on the night lights too.

A dim red is very nice and calming at night. It also does not effect your night vision.

Mine is white. I tried to take some pics, but the light is too dim for it to be picked up by my camera for any practical purposes. I intentionally made it very faint.

I ordered the interior LED illumination option that comes with the GTS .. I'm waiting to see what i've actually ordered LOL - it was a $140 upgrade.

What I did was buy a mini add-a-fuse-circuit from Pep Boys and just wire it into the same circuit as the illumination fuse. The cheap little plastic cover to the fuse box won't fit now, but the fuses aren't going anywhere -- they're in there tight. The footwell lights illuminate whenever the headlights come on.
