interior deminisons

I'm trying to get an idea of which direction I want to go with the sub, but I've run into a wall. Without even ball park figures for interior and trunk volume I can't even guess at cabin gain, and infinite baffle loading. So, does anyone have any thoughts on these numbers?

Alright, well, I didn't think anyone would have actual numbers, so I did some digging. Willy was kind enough to create a thread showing various cars vs the AS1 in terms of size. The Supra's interior and trunk look VERY close to the same size and the widths are only 1.4 inches apart. So, I'm gonna use the numbers I could find for the Supra to base my assumptions off of.

The interior volume should be around 70 ft^3 and the trunk should be about 11 ft^3. That's a great trunk size for a proper 15 inch sub in an infinite baffle setup. But that interior volume is going to give a TON of cabin gain.

I'm still on the fence. I could tune out the low end some to tame it, or go with a small box, ~ .8 ft^3, and the IDQ12v3 that I've got now. Corner loading the IDQ should offer similar enough output (for me at least) and would require less tuning. The IB setup would potentially offer a slight bump in output but also take up less trunk space...

Any audio junkies have any thoughts on the subject?

Don't use the MKIV Supra for boot space dimensions. It's a whole different story - the Supra boot is RIDICUOUSLY small compared to what the GT86 will have. You'd be better off using something like the altezza IMO...
