Phone holder for track days

Hi!
I like to use a lap timer program on my phone on track days, but I have tried two different holders and none of seem to be designed for 1G cornering and breaking. I need two of them. One for my HTC touchscreen Android for laptiming where I can see the time while I am driving and I would like to mount an Iphone in the window to use Harrys Laptimer with video.

Anyone that have found good products or solutions for this? Thanks!

Thanks! I have ordered that one. It had tons of good reviews on Amazon. Hopefully this one will do it for my laptimer phone. I still need a solution for Iphone and Harrys Laptimer in the window. Anyone?

I use the tomtom mount for my iPhone with Harry's lap timer. Works well for autocross.

I've been using this for about 6 months, its awesome. Blocks a bit of the Nav screen though, bit its perfect placement for my Galaxy Nexus.

This is the iphone one. It works well, but I am not sure how it connects with an external gps.

I realize you have an Android. There may be something similar for the HTC.

My advice is get the RAM mount setup. I have 2 of them and as I change cameras or phones, I just swap the last portion. While not the cheapest, its not that expensive and the stuff is very solid and has lots of applications. I get mine from this place as they always seem to ship same day:

I believe this is the one that Harry's Lap Timer recommends also.

RAM mount recommendation

Another recommendation for the RAM mount. I have [ame="http://www.amazon.com/RAM-Universal-X-Grip-Holder-Suction/dp/B0066BWMNU/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1346086859&sr=8-4&keywords=ram+mount+x-grip"]this RAM mount with the X-grip holder[/ame] with some more extra bits to make the arm long enough, and it works great.

I actually bought [ame="http://www.amazon.com/RAM-Mount-Universal-X-Grip-Holder/dp/B0055PH0XA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1346086859&sr=8-1&keywords=ram+mount+x-grip"]the x-grip separately[/ame] and [ame="http://www.amazon.com/RAM-Mounting-Systems-RAM-B-166-202AU-Universal/dp/B003ASPH48/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1346086941&sr =1-1&keywords=ram+mount+1%2F4-20"]one of these[/ame] so I could get the 1/4-20 mount for any camera, it ended up being the same price, and I also got prime shipping. I then got a longer arm and connector to position it better.

Thats what I love about the RAM system. I need this next so I can get the camera exactly where I want it in both the WRX and BRZ:

I bought that and one of these to better position my phone, so I've got it stuck to my sunroof with that long and a medium arm. Having the extra joint definitely helps.
