Pair with a low temp thermostat if you want to keep temps lower! |

Awesome, thanks! One quick follow up question. Would one be better than the other for extreme cold temps (MN winters)? I know the track cooler has a thermostatic sandwich plate and the dual cooler uses the coolant to bring oil up to temp, but I want to be sure I don't have issues during the chilly months. Thanks again for all your help! |

So far I’ve done a track day at dominion raceway, last year I saw 260F, and this last saturday with the cooler the max was 208!!! I wanted to ask how does the thermostat work, since I haven’t seen it on their literature. And do you k ow at what temperature it starts to let oil flow through the cooler? Is it like open or closed, or it opens more or less depending on the temperature? Of so, what are the ranges from fully closed to fully open? Thank you! |

I have this on a stock 86 right now. The car with the oil cooler's seen about 16 track days with no major issues aside from having to retighten the AN fittings at the sandwich plate. Would the oil cooler still be enough to handle additional power from ACE A350 headers?

Would getting this be a wise call for 80-120 miles of spirited driving 5 days a week in a hot climate? I find this car begs me to drive the shit out of it and I can't say no.

My spirited driving results in 120 deg celsius oil temps in ambient temps of around 28-30 deg celsius. Seeing these temps I do chicken out to push further. Lol!
These cars do need oil coolers in my opinion. |

Bit of a necro.
Found a used jackson racing oil cooler locally with the old sandwich plate adapter (pre-17). Does anyone know if it will fit with the Injen intake? (it was on the car when I bought it) EDIT: I wonder if we could compile a list of what intakes fit with what coolers/sandwich plates. Lots of people have installed these and I bet a lot of them have installed (or tried to install) intakes of one type or another. |
