TRD exhaust on BRZ?

Hey guys! New here, don't actually have a BRZ/FRS/86 yet, but saving up! Honestly, I've been more a fan on the Toyota side, but willing to get a BRZ if the price is right. One thing I've been wondering though, is about the exhaust. I love the TRD exhaust that Toyota offers for the FRS/86, but I've been wondering would this exhaust also fit under a BRZ? Sure it'll look funny seeing TRD on a Subaru, (maybe trigger some STI fans too) but honestly, all that matters is the sound. Anyone ever tried this?

Yes it'll fit but for that price there are plenty of other options out there.

It will fit and unless they look really close they will not see the TRD stamped on the tips. There are other less expensive options but for the money it is hard to top the quality and sound (in my humble and totally subjective opinion).

Not yet! I just bought the muffler and tips though. Rest of it is 2.5 piping and an SLP resonator. I have a trd intake though too.

True, but personally, the others just don't match the sound the TRD makes. Personally, the TRD makes just the right amount of throatiness in its noise for me.

Just to point out for the near future, there are two versions of the TRD exhaust, the ovals tips and the quad round tips. The quad tips require a slightly larger opening.

Oh ok, the one I'm thinking of is the oval tips that they currently offer. And even if I wanted to get the quad tips, that would just require the installation of a different bumper right? Or would it affect the placing of underside as well?

Hmm, IIRC first version of TRD catback had D shaped, not oval tips.
As for bumper .. IIRC exhaust openings in stock bumper needs to be cut a bit & TRD catbacks should come with special inserts over cuts. Possibly those inserts can be bought separately.
