Talking How to hella flush Ohlins coilovers

Okay so not exactly hella flush, but most people have had issues with the ride height being so high with the Ohlins on maxed out low.

After installing the Ohlins suspension I was disappointed with the ride height and almost sold it off. I really liked the ride quality of it so I tried to figure out a solution to make it lower. The gap in the rear was so bad it looked almost like factory springs. I wasn't looking to slam my car or anything but for the price of these coils they should have at least come with more adjust-ability on height.

Anyways I did my research and didn't find anything. I looked around for different camber plates and top hats and ended up with the HVT front adjustable camber plates / Raceseng rear top hats. After playing around with the bearing configurations I got it to work! Without running it into the bump stop or anything.

This was after the Ohlins was installed.

Another shot of the rear to show how high it really was.

Max low on the front.

Trying to figure out how this is going to go together. I ended up not using the bearing and silver hat piece from the HVT set up.

I ended up using the bearing that came with the ohlins on top of the ohlins hat instead.

Final set up for the front.

Ohlins rear piece.

I used the thicker bearing from the top portion and brought it down here. Then the spacer from the Raceseng set up placed above that.

This is how much lower it went with the Raceseng rear top hat.

I move the thinner bearing that was on the bottom to the top. Then the black nut above that.

Installed. The front has more room the go lower. Maybe another 1/2 inch to an inch. The rear is maxed out here.

Here's a shot in the day light. I still need to either raise the back up or lower the front a lil more.

Max low in the front now.

Disregard the ghetto ebay led license plate light that went out. lol

This the max low on the new set up. I'm pretty happy with it now.

You can even go lower by removing a lock nut or 2, since it's already maxed out

Super nice setup btw. Double btw: how much are those front and rear mounts?

Awesome!! Ya i say drop the front a lil more if possible, the rear is perfect now!

Quick Q: by using HVT and RaceSeng top mounts, u were able to maintain Ohlins rec bump travel and ride quality??

Quick Rec: i would consider front lower arm to correct roll center imho

I don't need it any lower than the rear is lol. But you're right.

They were 700 for front and rear. So total set up is around 3900

Yeah quality is same and the bump travel is the same.
I haven't drove it hard yet. Just got it on last night but I'll test it at the track at the end of the month.

I thought about doing this as well... was originally considering Stance LCA in rear.

But for my purposes, I'm okay with the "barely lowered" look.

Eh if you are looking to spend that much go with the MCS DA shocks without the remote reservoirs.

As to the OP, definitely the reason the Raceseng rears exist is to drop without losing travel. The only issues I've heard from anyone is using shorter length shocks and not having enough droop travel. There are also a couple people making lower control arms that reduce the ride height by lowering the lower attachment point. Stance is one of them.
