Relatively affordable new coupes like some Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers, Civic Si, Mini, Z, Veloster (sort of) and many more in the used <$30K range.

Dang, so Thunder was only available for a year? That's probably my favorite color throughout the entire production run of 86s. If I was in the market that's probably what I would snatch up.

Motor Trend First Drive. The author turned a car review into a tire review then never mentions the suspension and brake upgrades.

His preference is "loosey-goosey" oversteer, mine is better grip. I agree with him that the GT is the better value. It's better looking IMO, lighter and probably quicker than a TRD SE that has to spin up those 18's.

If I get another one, it'll be the GT then upgrade the tires, possibly sway bar(s), and maybe the head unit.

Man, what is with the stance on this thing? It looks like a cross-over it's sitting so high. I know they photoshop the cars into scenes like Gran Turismo, but did they use a picture of it while it was on a lift?

Also, that new rear end is hideous - it looks like a (overdone) Corolla from the back.

The FRS Series 1.0 rear looks clean and flowing when you compare the two.
(But then, I'm partial to yellow...)

A lot of websites I saw reviews of this car on, the pictures strangely don't scale properly so they look squished.

Also 18"s on this car will always look like 4WD without a proper drop, and the severity of the 4WD stance depends on the wheel style as well.

According to data on tirerack.com, it's ¾" higher than Base/GT's but no idea if TRD lowering springs are compatible with the TRD Sachs dampers.

Haha exactly, and that's probably what I am going to get, but I rather have a Toyota.

I do too. You can see where I wrapped more stuff in Alcantara = Center console, AC controls, Window controls.

But I would rather have 25 more HP even if it meant a plastic dash cover piece

What specs does that region have that the U.S. TRD SE doesn't?
