Basically just ask yourself one question.
Are you ready to drive the shit out of the car at every opportunity? If yes, then the Twin is better. If no, then the miata is better. If you don't, the twin just feels very average in regards to the powertrain. I'm sure the miata is tons of fun and the linear delivery means you won't have to wring out the engine to get it to hustle. Suspension/Roll is all subjective as both achieve the same result in different ways. But, by reading your post on the miata forum, you're looking for any excuse to buy one. Do yourself a favour and get a miata. |

You gots to pay... to play , if you want that Honda play-thing!
The only Honda worth a dime, the last 13 years, is the S2K , if you want a convertible , and.. .... if you can find a clean, unmolested example , for about $15-20k ..... but two semi-funky things with that car : 1. the digital gauge cluster is .... well Star Trek like, kinda funky , 2. Gas tank is on the drivers side. They were built in the same factory as the NSX

If it's like here in AU, get a broker, with their buying power you will save thousands. Do your research though, there are some really good brokers that get their cut from the dealer. There are others that are basically thieves. I only ever grab new cars via my broker, every time they were able to beat the dealers "best" deal by thousands.

It's supposed to lower the dash line and give added visibility, but then you're forced to look at garbage inside and its noticeable when walking away. |

If you're seriously about to spend 30k on a 4 banger rwd car of any type.... why aren't the mustang / Camaro in this equation? Look at a 1le turbo Camaro and have everything you want with no torque dip.
Either way, dont buy a brz. It's not the car you want and you're just wasting a salesman's time. |

On a side note regarding engine torque, I just got my hands on a V50 T5 (6spd) for the next few days, and it doesn't feel much livelier down low than the twins, despite being a turbo 2.5L. |

Well, to be fair, that's a universal truth about pretty much any car since the beginning of car time. I suspect it also happened with chariots, horse and buggies, etc....

You keep bringing up audio. If you are going to do an audio build you are going to dump the head unit. The audio quality in all subaru's are terrible, and I guarantee someone has made an inexpensive way to remove that awful tablet and that entire panel and put an actual good head unit in it. Do not put the head unit in play, the sound quality of subarus are horrific.

I bet someone already has an easy way to remove it and put a real head unit in there, plus I bet selling it will net a nice amount of cash. |

All the aftermarket kits do is just put a different head unit / tablet in the same spot. |

While I've encountered the modding crowd, I've never the entitled whiners I've tripped over here. I haven't owned many cars though...

It's all the same. Just wait until you buy a performance oriented, drivers' car and the most active area of the forum is related to garage storage and detailing.

Hell, it is better than many other forums. Go give NASIOC a gander. The nice part here is that most of the truly annoying entitled snowflakes don't stay long since we are "just a bunch of assholes and don't understand or respect their needs". Oh the hate mail PMs I have collected from that crowd.
