Should I be worried ?

So I'm driving down a highway at around 100km/hr and I approach what looks like the end of a fire hose. I wasn't able to avoid it and as I passed over it I heard a significant clunk from underneath. I cleared whatever it was up front as no front bumper damage seen but just wanted to get your guys' thoughts: what point underneath was likely hit (diff exhaust etc) and if I should look for anything in particular. I'm gonna lift it up this weekend to take a look.

Thx in advance for the input.

On my way to Quebec, I was following a truck. I find this a bit of an A-hole move on his part. It was dawn and there was a dead moose from what I can tell in the middle of our lane. No slowing down, no tap of the brakes to give a warning, he just rolls right on over it, and now I`m looking at that thing. Jam the brakes and slowed as much as I could then released to raise the front back. Ran over it like a snowboard. Stopped and noting was leaking. Saw chunks of meat and blood, so we kept driving. No damage even top the front bumper cover. Seems to be built really sturdy. Smelled like cooked meat everytime I stopped though hehehe.

I would take a look under, but if it did any damage, it would be a dent in the exhaust maybe. If it would of broke a fuel or brake line, you would of made another kind of post .

underneath the front of the car there is a metal skid plate. That significant clunk could have been that. Or it hit the exhaust. Best way to tell is to lift the car up and take a look underneath, or use your jack to prop it up and get under.
Hopefully she's okay!

I was driving on a really windy mountain road and came accross some rocks that had just fallen off the hill onto the road. I thought at stock height I would pass right over without issue, but I must have moved one small rock as I went over into another bigger rock.

Long story short as I went over the rocks one jumped up and made contact with my car at least 4 times. It dented the front metal under cover, dented the exhauast and touched a couple other places. The guards did their job that's for sure. But as it happened I was realy worried as loud as it was.

I think you should post a "Totaled or Not" thread with a poll....lol

With so little insulation, even a pebble hitting the underside sounds horrible.

If you get under the car and find notable damage, take some photos.

I hit a dip at an intersection one night with a loud bang. I find the only area with scratches were on the bottom-front part of the body-colored plastic lip. But it sure sounded loud enough that I was checking the front end for fit and gap issues.
