I talked with Brian Tooley Racing about my goals with a cam, what racing I'm doing and my modifications. They made a custom grind based on those items. I highly recommend just chatting with a shop like them or similar.

3.73 vs 3.9 final drive? Where is the best place to find a used 3.73? Any auto guys with a 3.9 want to trade for a 4.56? Is everyone with an LS3 keeping the redline 6600 RPM or is it safe to push it a little like 6800-6900 RPM? I am looking for 72 to 73 mph at the top of 2nd gear. Using this calculator http://www.apexgarage.com/tech/gear_ratios.shtml I came up with the 3.73 would be best with the 6600 redline but 3.9 would work for me with a slightly raised redline like 6800 RPM.

I like 3.55 but 3.73 is pretty good. I have my rev limiter set to 6500, I know lots of guys spin to 7000 without problems.

This is a nice calculator

I'm on the factory rear end (4.10) currently (temporarily while searching for an m85 IS300 rear end). First gear is flat out useless. I drive from second gear for everything. I'd recommend between 3.55 to 3.73 for sure.

I drove the factory 4.10 for a few months and honestly driving the car around was a bit miserable. I was able to get a good local deal on a 3.73 and it's a totally different car. A pleasure to drive. Very easy to drive on any gear, usable gearing now. Honestly one of the best mods I've done on the car.

Hey, are you able to run a front sway bar with your vorshlog mounts? Car made it to Maryland so the build is finally getting going.
