I finally got around to polishing my Mishimoto Coolant Overflow Tank.

Since it comes polished I didn't really need to do a whole lot although I could have... lol Anyway, I just hit it up with a buffing wheel and white rouge... then finished it with some metal polish from Griot's Garage.

Before and after (pre-metal polish)

Completed... ready for installation!

Well now, zeal86, that looks to be a fine piece of equipment and you did a nice job of polishing it up ......

Please don't take this wrong, but maybe you could enlighten me as to why a person would pay $225 for an aftermarket coolant overflow tank ......

Ok, I'll go ahead and say it....because racecar!
What I don't understand is the Min/Max lines on a completely opaque tank!

Because the stock tank is ugly AF. Zeal takes his engine bays appearance seriously

I would definitely recommend 2 people to anyone looking to do this themselves, as im sure it would same time . sorry, very proud.
feedback on my project is appreciated!

I'm what way are you obsessive compulsive disorder over your mods?

If I remember correctly there is a clear tubing the goes connected to the two ports there. That's the min/max gauge.

Makes sense, that would explain the fittings above and below the min/max lines...it's all becoming clear to me!

I removed the fittings and tube so I could polish the underlying area. I also removed the cap and top grommet for the same reason. Once I put it back together I'll take a completed pic and post it to my build thread.

@Ashikabi You are correct... I do take my engine bay appearance seriously... because SHOW car...

So you have a clinical diagnosis of OCD, and youre not a perfectionist?
