I'm going to try doing 8k springs in the rear also, and get the car realigned and corner balanced as well. I have another event in two weeks so I'll see how that improves.

Thank you all for the input.
Thinking back on the 19mm bar idea, if you don't have one already that you'd be putting on you could always go back to stock and if it feels too soft you know that a ~19-ish bar is closer to what you want. It would suck to spend ~$200 on a 19mm bar and you realize it's still too stiff for what you want, it'd be hard to test 'is it stiff enough' but at least you have one end of the spectrum tested for minimal investment.

Don't do too many changes at once, springs and alignment might be too many if you plan on changing alignment from what you had before.

Looking at 14.5.B it seems like it may fall under "changes in suspension geometry" although that may pertain just to ball joint mounting points. Right after that it says it allows strut length changes to accommodate ride height and suspension travel (which is what I'm trying to achieve)
I'd say so, 14.8.A allows for adding spacers to modify ride height which is pretty much what you'd be doing by adding a spacer between camber plate and chassis.
What they don't want you doing is adding a spacer that creates an offset, for instance one that adds caster by having the damper mount further 'back' on the chassis. There's also allowances in 14.8.C acknowledging that camber plates will have different heights, it's inevitable without some annoying way to police damper mounting position for each and every chassis.

Heh I've seen Mack and Justin mention it but y'all must be crazy thinking STU is going to be any 'easier' if Heitkotter is still going to be running it next year, even if he sticks with the 350 or they try building the E46. But I'm totally out of the loop so there's probably something I don't know.

But with the Wong's listing their car for sale and Tsang's maybe out of the picture that's -4 top runners from STX if all you care about is the finish placement. Wilcox has a FoRS he might go play with and Lugod is a codriver and with the new SSC, STX could be mighty thin next year. I hope it isn't though, I'd rather lose by an inch to someone who's top of their game than win by a mile, I'm psychotic that way. At least I'll still have PAX to measure against locally next year if a bunch of top guys migrate.

I am not going anywhere...the competition will still be some of the best/toughest in STX next year (which I like). Plus I just love the BRZ and the ST rules. I drive what I like, not where I think it might be easier to win (I don't remember ever saying anything about STU).

I love the competition, I am lucky to have BH in my region where I can see where I am if I do compete against him. And he'd definitely help out on setup like he had before when I had my STX e36. lol

That's brilliant, I gotta get braver about asking for help.

I'm probably doing a very light schedule next year... mostly locals, going to try my best though to make it to Nats in '18, but we'll see.

Also just wrote a letter to the SEB/SPAC... considering some different plans for 2019 and beyond... especially if STX participation starts to diminish.

This year was a blast. Even though midwest/east coast participation is much lower than west coast, it was always a fun battle. on a great season.
