Nice. Any idea when the pins will be available?

Not sure, Mr. SVXdc has been quite for the last few days, probably work related. All you'll need is the two pin to RCA kit and your choice of camera kit. Again, something without guide lines, or can be disabled.

FYI - I sent him a PM on the 23rd, haven't heard anything back yet.

UPDATE: As of this morning (9/6/12) I have sent payment to SVXdc for the FT rear camera RCA cable.

VSS is meant for when the GPS antennae loses signal, it can tell how fast you are going so the NAV can keep up. The most useful place for this is somewhere like a tunnel where the antennas have no chance of getting signal. I have been expiramenting with running the VSS switched off, Ive been driving around town since I did this yesterday and with no VSS it has yet to lose track of me. That being said I have not been going through any tunnels, near tall buildings or anything else that would block my signal.
I did this toggle switch today. And with a 6AT BRZ Limited, this switch does no good. The GPS serves as primary speed indicator while the SPD sensor is backup and is not used. I went into the 3-button service mode to verify that SPD is read by GPS and not the SPD sensor. I'm wondering if it is the version of software on my head unit or because I have a 6AT. I definitely wired everything up correctly, tested it without the switch, and with the switch and still have the issue as stock.

Note: I only tried this with the phone lockout above 5 MPH.

Any thoughts?

Not sure, nav is the same unit so I would think this works for both. Mine is a premium 6mt but I don't see why it would work differently.

Limited 6MT here and the toggle switch on pin 17 works for me. I didn't test it with phone, but I tested it with entering navigation address. The nav settings menu also undims while moving if I toggle it off.

Just tested the pin 17 bypass with DivX video on demand - I started the video while I was parked, then I started moving. The video cut out, sound remained on. I flipped my toggle switch and the video was once again available. Note that I also grounded pin 15 on the 16-pin harness to bypass the e-brake.

I decided to swap out the switch that I had installed to see if that solved my problem. I cut the old switch out, and wired in a new one. Tomorrow morning on my way to work I'll try this out to see if it solved my problem. Looking at the pictures earlier in the post I did in fact use the ping/green wire and cut and tapped it appropriately. If this switch doesn't work, I'll have to remove the deck, check my soldered connections and reassemble. And if that doesn't work, maybe because I am 6AT instead of manual? Or Radio Version? I'll report back tomorrow my status.

Thanks!

Those of you who installed toggle switches on the VSS wire, I'm curious as to where you put your switch - mine's on the panel right next to the interior light dimmer/HID level knobs. There was a blank spot to the right of those two, not sure what Subaru/Toyota had planned for that spot, but it was a perfect spot for my speed sensor toggle switch. If I ever need to go back to stock, I can just swap that one little panel out.
