Brembo OE 4 Piston Feedback? - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

Hey guys, noticed this on the FT86speedfactory site recently -

Anyone have any feedback or opinions on this? It appears it's a full bolt on application for our cars from Brembo - likely a better option than the Cadillac ATS or STI Brembo option.

But I'd like to know if anyone has jumped on this yet? Seems like a fair price - obviously not comparable to the GT kit but still another option!

I just installed this on my car. It's not an OE caliper its actually a Brembo GT kit that happens to use the same rotor as the STI (unconfirmed re: rotor).

I took it out on track last weekend and they performed exceptionally well - no brake fade after 20min+ sessions. I highly recommend them.

I did need a 5mm spacer to clear my 18x9.5 +40 CE28RT though - should be fine with your TEs.

Think it is somewhat similar if not the same thing as CSG sells.

What rotors? Just plain or did you have the option of slotted/drilled?

My TE's are the same specs are your CE's - assuming I may need a spacer as well?

I went with the slotted. As far as I know blanks aren't available.

The spacers were only needed due to the spoke design of the CE. TEs are way more BBK friendly

The choice should be obvious then.

Not only is the CSG kit cheaper, it comes with @CSG Mike's seal of approval.

I'm also looking at these and the AP Racing Sprint BBK if anyone can chime in on the differences.

The Sprint kit uses smaller diameter rotors so it may fit under some wheels that the Brembo kit doesn't. The Endurance kit is more comparable to the Brembo in terms of diameter.

I contacted CSG and we determined that the Brembo would be a better fit for me. They are heavier but they would be able to handle heat way way better.

Purchase this kit from CSG.

The GT kit keeps the stock brake bias as much as possible with a BBK and factory rear brake system.

Also CSG is an overall great contributor to this community, support them if you can.
