Still rare here in Southeastern MA and RI.

I commute thru Providence RI everyday, and I'm still surprised when I see one. Maybe one a month or so...

Columbia, SC - I always see 1-3 daily, and 1/3 are BRZ. Seem to be seeing a lot more of them now than a year ago. Haven't really seen any obvious mods.

A had a yellow TRD rev at me as I was leaving Applebee's in Lexington about a week ago, and often get a wave, honk, or lights flashed from other 86s. This car does make you feel like part of something special. Never felt that way behind the wheel of any other car.

And, no, not the port.

It is pretty crazy that of the 1500 employees at my plant, such a high percentage has this car.
If you live/work in WV, I'm not surprised. Traveled to WV a few times in my MX3 back in the mid 90s. There are some fantastic roads out there (curves, dips, etc.). Perfect place for an 86.

Saw 4 other BRZ/FR-S's at the auto-x today not including mine... I have 3 close friends who also own them (meaning we were friends before we got the cars) so I tend to see them a lot. Plenty kicking around the Boston area; usually stock but there's a shop in Quincy called Pro Spec Autosport that's put out a lot of wild builds lately. So, no shortage here!

It used to be that way if you drove a British car back in the day, and still is to some degree with motorcyclists. I enjoy it.

My commute is pretty twisty. The first leg would be amazing if it was a true 2 lane road. I have to keep a lid on it a bit because there are some blind turns and lots of crests that make it hard to anticipate cars coming the opposite direction.

Talking 86s per capita

I live in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, (a town of about 5,000). There are 5 of us now with 86s. I'd say a per capita rate of 1:1000 is pretty high no matter where you live.

You have enough to start a car club. Time to organize a meet.

Was in a nearby city (Cambridge) this weekend and doubled my 10 month total spotting from 6 to 12 in about an hour.
The very first one I saw was a Lava that looked just like mine. I had pretty much given up hope of seeing one.

Not very common - I joked on my local 86 Fb page that I must somehow repel other 86's because I almost never see them. Drove 1100 miles this weekend up to northern New Jersey and back and only saw two the entire time, and they looked to be traveling together just outside of NYC on I-78.

Madison, Wi. Not common.

There is a blue BRZ in the neighborhood, I see a twin about every 3 months.. but it's winter. FRS is our winter car.. snow hooning is the best!

Autocross starts this month; I am excited to give that a try. I hear there are other twins ready to play.

In this university town, the daily driver sports car of choice seems to be Mini Cooper S.. lots of minis. Lots of miatas.

What I see tons of are Subarus of every kind but BRZ. All over the place. It makes sense- snow and ice and crap from November to April. And Prius es.
