I don't remember the specifics, but I think it had something to do with making room for dual dampers up front, one specific for torque steer. It also could have been related to the width of the 20" ? If anyone else knows more, please chime in on this

A) It is just a civic.

B) With the rest of the ugly cars? It is THE ugly car.

C) That is a helluva lot better than having a Black Edition GTR on the showroom, roped off, and having some toolbox lean on the pole which falls directly in to the side of the GTR both denting and scratching it.

ah 2 exhaust tips look better than 3. That wing still needs to go though.

If you all want the old Honda back the first step is to de-Americanize the design across the board. This car looks too retarded in a cartoonish way to be a true performance car.

I haven't seen it in the flesh either, but the Type R means a lot to me. It is just that I am not paying 15-20g's for an old one, although that is how much they are worth.

After a week or so, it feels kind of like cleaning out your system with plenty of refried beans, wild rice, summer corn and the new imported spinach from France appears to work like editing magic.

Those wheels would look right at home at a DUB show. Holy shit.

koodos to Honda for bringing the TypeR to NA
design is not my cup of tea either but apparently there are enough people out there wanting them with those crazy premiums people are paying (i dont know if they are actually paying or just dealers marking them up waiting to see if people will pay that much)
good on them, hopefully this will show that there is a market for enthusiasts' car and may be they will come back with s2000 ?
even then, for me nothing beats my FRS at this price point and what I was looking for.

I like the lines of the FRS more. If I had to choose I would go used STi hatch or a new Golf R.

3rd Gen Vs Current Gen

What happened to you Honda....

By the way...i feel like the Type R should of looked like the SI....just with a bigger less aggressive Type R style wing and Type R interior. Would of looked way better.
