Awesome thanks. New WEST SIDE was really FUN! Got 2nd place in the SpeedSF challenge in PAF class "pretty and fast" with 3'49.5 on my third session (last session). I over shot turn 14 put the front right wheel in the dirt then hit the berm and BENT my rim . I didnt even know it was bent until I came into after the session n that brake pad on the front right was smoking n everyone "oh snap":eek::eek: I had 3 more sessions to go. But over all it was good n lots of fun. Getting ready for August 2nd n 3rd! Aint nothing stopping me

There will probably be people both driving the morning of and also going the night before. I always do the night before because my driving declines substantially with less sleep. I will probably book the Motel 6.

im heading out on Friday night to avoid the early morning hassle.

if I sleep at 2am and wake up at 4am to drive up to THill i'll be half dead by the time i get there + the heat i did drive tHill extremely sleep deprived on my first track day... no fun

for lodging, there are several options and they are literally walking distance from each other (only list those that has guest review 3.5/5 and above - anything less is a headache):

Here are my research:

Source: www.Hotels.com

10% discount code: 14JLYRMNUS
5% discount code: 14JLY5OFFUS
Those expires 07/13/2014 - subject to avaibility

1. holiday inn: $114/nt incl. breakfast (expensive)
i've never stayed there but its a bit expensive when staying 2 night (saving it for a track day at buttonwillow)

2. baymont suite: $68/nt incld. breakfast (cheaper than motel 6 )

@WoOosOn stayed there last time . it looks nice and has a decent pool

@RehabJeff86 @ddflyer consider book this early cos the rate is low on www.hotels.com or
www.baymontinns.com

*hang out at the pool thinking of idea for the next portable cooling system for track drivers

3. motel 6: $71/nt
It's a typical motel 6.

4. economy inn: 70/nt
Good review from guests. I've never stayed there

Hope that helps!

What kind of tires do you use? There are some shops in the area that keep a healthy supply of track oriented tires in stock. PM me and I'll put you in touch with them (don't want to post e-mail addresses in open forum).
