You have my full sympathy!
I watched a guy pull up next to and do that to my brand new car on purpose. I was at the end of an empty lot. He left his window open so I picked up a can of soda from the hot dog vendor and poured it into this gauge cluster, air vents, steering wheel housing, and all over his steering wheel and seat. Must have been 95F that day too. Hope he had a nice ride home.

Here's to hoping you'll be able to get a painless fix for it.
That is a very sharp cat. Car cover for future?

Yeah, though I haven't had to deal with any additional scratches. So who knows where the cat went.

Someone keyed my Lexus, like a week after I had bought it. That had me fuming for a while.

I would flip if i saw someone doing this to my car. the cost of being charged with assault would probably cost more than it would to fix the car, and i would probably punch in all of the other persons windows. i'd go street fighter on their car. it frustrates and boggles my mind that people like this exist.

Last night someone extinguished their cigarette on my car and tossed it into the wiper area.

This ought to be fun before long.

.....I really can't comprehend people. I respect people's cars, regardless of type; I don't really understand why others can't do the same or don't want to. I remember when I had my tiburon a few years back I left it for a few days to find a really deep knife slit in the pillar running along the roof.

Granted my girlfriend doesn't understand why I want to keep the car clean and scratch / dent free or why I get irritated when / if it does happen. So who knows.

The good thing about used beater cars is having that attitude. So much less stress. I walked out of work to find someone had thrown a brick through my miata window twice. I laughed, drove it home, and got a new windshield.

Now I'm worried about who's going to do what every time I park.

Oh well.

A knife slash huh? That's a pretty serious upgrade on keying.

I try to think of it as a reminder of how happy I am not to be someone like that.
