I did exhaust, springs, wheels/tires. My tC was louder than the stock 86 so I kept forgetting to shift because I was so used to my exhaust note. Obviously I could've looked down, but where's the fun in that?

Also grabbed a spoiler because the price was right. Almost got headers and a short shifter off the local marketplace, but then I wouldn't have been able to feed myself for the rest of the month.

Sigh... Adult priorities.

I don't plan on going for power/FI/tracking anytime soon, maybe 3-5 years from now. As of now, I want to make the car look nice, so power for the car is out. This car is mainly for weekend drive and local car meets.

I don't want to drop $4,000 in a week/month. So lets say if i get the Modellista Kit, then the exhaust, coilovers, rims won't come anytime soon, vice versa. The other parts will eventually come later in the year but as of now, What should i get? Friends/family says the car is nice they way it looks, so they suggested that Exhaust, coilover, and rims is what they would do. Your opinion would be helpful for my thought process. I do know that this is going to be my decision at the end, but it'll be nice to know which route you guys would take.
First off, you have too damn much spare money you want to spend on a car ........

For what you are going to use your car for, I'd suggest you get some perty rims and lowering springs. Save the rest for wine, women and song.

Above advice is sound. Worst thing you can do is rush into a kit.

I personally don't care for body kits. Can you imagine e how silly it would look with 215 tires? Go for wheels and tires and lowering springs like TCO said.

If I were going for soley cosmetic I would go for lowering springs, new wheels and a massive carbon fiber wing.

Tint + clearbra (for stone chips) + Opticoat + UEL Header + tune + dash cam. Summer tires if you don't like the stock tires. Winter tires if you need it where you live

The car looks good as it is. You only really need minor things if that depending on your tastes.

Is it your daily? Then you might want to think about coilovers, I mean roads around where I live are crap, and I cannot think mn would have better roads. Especially if you are not going to track it, coilovers really just are not necessary, lowering springs meant to work with the stock shocks are better.

Wheels and tires are always a good first step, just don't go the crazy on the biggest wheels you can afford route so many seem to. Adding 18" boat anchors might look good, but can really hurt the performance of the car. Heck if you are not tracking it I would suggest staying near the stock size, the wheels will be lighter and the tires will be slightly less expensive.

Personally I went with a carbon fiber driveshaft, the lightest flywheel I could find, a new clutch and upgraded fork/bearing. I'm deciding whether I want to spend $2600 on lightweight wheels, TWS T66f are just so amazingly light. The car looks awesome and no one knows what it is around where I live.

I also had a thought of that too. The car is new, so things are a bit pricey now.

Exhaust dont really do much of anything beside sound unless u get a tune.
With that money u have I would get a KW or TEIN. RPF1 +35 offset w/ RE11, RS3,RE71, MPSS. With this set up,,you would look flush already, and has better handling than many other 86 owner on the road.
I just like the sound of exhaust noise (a low smooth noise), so thats why i threw exhaust in it too..

To be honest, your 4000 is a lot, but not a lot. You can get a nice sounds exhaust for example like greddy and perrin is around $700-800. but then you will want header and front pipe later lol....(I been there...)
And coilover and rim and tires are going together like a set.

Just do more research before purchase, skim the forum and go the way you like.

I understand. That's what I'm doing as of right now. Tons of research and saving more money while doing so!
