Laps before it was installed and after it was installed and the way the feel and balance of the car changed with no other changes. The car moved from oversteer to understeer in corners slower than 100 MPH.

FWIW my team will be testing between having a wing or a diffuser the next time we hit the track.

I still haven't tracked it yet, I've only done some autocrosses. I got the wing because I was losing traction in the rear on streets. I have some decent roads around my house, so that's where I actually make use of the car. Before the wing, I was losing traction at the peaks of hills and rolling over bumps. I was doing burnouts at like 60mph, not even accelerating. Shit would get sketchy when the traction would catch again. So I got the wing and all that nonsense went away. As for tracks, my nearest track is NOLA, and it's flat, smooth, and high speed. I did about 5 track days out there on my R6, and you spend a lot of time over 100 on that thing. Of course an FR-S wouldn't be as fast as an R6, but still. That track is fast. So the wing would probably actually have some effect out there. Once I start going out there, after I've gotten my lap times consistent, I'll take the wing off and see if there's any difference. My car understeers like crazy, so I could see it actually having some benefit. But... the car is so slow, the drag from the wing might cancel out the time saved in corners. As for acid dipping, I'm aware that people do that, but I would think that would be a huge amount of work and probably be expensive.

I'm not sure either setup is usable for @Anthony without a bit of work given his removal via sawzall of the stock grey plastic diffuser thing...

I always see these extreme car weight reduction threads and I'm like ok thats cool but there is always so much low hanging fruit driver weight reduction to be had:
-spleen dont need it -remove left leg and upgrade to clutchless sequential -only need one teste hitler-style -shaved head and full body wax -get regular enemas to clear out impacted shit -remove some extra fingers and toes that arent entirely essential to the driving process -tonsils -donate heaps of blood before any competitive driving event -remove fingernails vietnam POW style -circumcision -ears -septum -replace joints with titanium rivets -appendix needless to say if you can get past your tech inspection without a nomex suit on or head sock driving naked is a fantastic way to shave some unnecessary poundage. I for instance wear only a nomex thong rather than nomex underware to get a small edge on my competition Just some ideas and stuff ive pulled off other medical forums - food for thot

Nice. Skimmed through all the pages of the thread. Is there an official weight of the car currently? I see "367lbs" but that would put it above 2300lbs
