I was talking about his original request on the Skunk one.
I wouldn't touch that other with a 10 foot pole.

If you go aftermarket, get Grimmspeed.

ahh ok gotcha. In regard to the skunk2 intake, it looks just like the one on their site. If it's a replica it's a damn good one.

So, since when does RSP/Realstreet Performance sell knockoff parts? I mean I'm not in the US, but I've dealt a little with them in the past on my SR20-build, and from what I understand, they're a pretty big and reputable shop, so why would they sell replica parts? I love how some here can say it's a fake part from one somewhat bad photo..

I personally don't think it's a fake part.

Had this same argument with a member awhile back who significantly overpaid for an AVO kit. He didn't want to believe it so claimed the sites I found it on selling it for over a thousand less were "fake". People don't want to believe they overpaid for something, and don't understand some high volume companies can sell it at a lower price and still profit.

So if they had just taken one of the promotional photos from Skunk2's own website, it'd look more legit? I'd say if they take photos themselves of the actual part they're selling, it gives me more confidence they stand behind it, rather than just using the readily available product shots that are so easy to use from the web.

And who knows why the price is lower than others - maybe it's used, even if it's just for 10 miles? Or test mounted?

All I'm saying is, judging simply by the photo OP posted, there's no real way of anyone in this thread knowing if it's fake or not, yet some are certain it is it seems like.

If I had to replace my intake I'd go with this beauty.

Jesus that thing is a monster! What spring rate do you need to go to in the front to support that puppy?

So sqd made a good point. Additionally the seller only has 1 listing(someone mentioned there were a bunch but not from that seller at least) for the intake, and 100% positive feedback with a lot of other skunk products. I think I may pull the trigger on this one. We have to see what the insurance will allow first(last time I did whatever and they didn't care)
