Thanks guys! Im heading to the dealer today, but Im not positive if Ill be bringing her home until Monday or Tuesday. The dealer told me the car would be in on the 18th, so in my typical fashion, I procrastinated regarding the bank loan application. My credit union has a crazy deal right now, 1.99% over 60 months on a new car, so Im waiting to see if the dealer has a bank they can use to match it. I filled out the app with my bank yesterday but wont hear back until Monday.

Are you keeping the CL-S?

I appreciate all the things you've done for the J community as well, thanks!

I'm on V6P and 6thgenaccord, as well as J32a... You are one of the pioneers in the J community, so I've seen you around

I don't plan on buying the FR-S too soon, but I will eventually... after I swap a J32 and 5spd auto into my CG2

Have you ever wondered what a FR-S would feel like with a J32? Complete insanity... I might attempt a RX7 J32 swap down the line... instead of buying an FR-S.

It would be amazing. I wonder if it would fit......

I was trying to find a clean S2k that I could play with for a few years and then finally drop another built J into it, but I couldnt find one that met my criteria (Im OCD and incredibly picky ).

Quick Synopsis....

I finally got some time to take some pics and type up a quick synopsis:

The driving position is perfect, the seats hug you (Im 6', 160lbs), the transmission is nice and direct, the steering is precise, and the brakes are very linear and grab well. The car shares a lot of components with the WRX, as it really is a Subaru built with Toyotas money.

The 200hp figure is misleading, at least for me. With the cars low weight, it actually has some decent pick up. Its clearly not in the same league as my built CL, but it'll hold its own. Accelerating from 60 to 80mph in 6th, the car doesnt bog down at all. The powerband is obviously different though. Im used to being able to chug around town at 2k rpms in my CL. There is no torque in the FR-S at 2k rpms. But it starts to wake up around 3500rpm. Im not getting on the car very hard though, so who knows what the powerband really is like at WOT.

The EPS was the one thing that made me worried about the car. Its going to take a bit of getting used to, but its very direct. At slow speeds (<10mph) its very light and turns easily. But it firms up noticeably once the speeds increase. Its got a nice weight to it in my opinion.

The build quality is very good. It puts the new Si to shame, honestly (what doesn't these days :whyme: ). I've not yet had any fun with it with Sport mode or VSA/TCS off, but that will happen soon

Anyway, enough blabbering, heres the goods (click for big):

Heres the backseat "space"
