Another sneak peek (if it's nice this weekend I'm hoping to do a photoshoot/update)

I am considering those wheels, and I'm glad somebody got a set and had a dark twin. Looks great, even at stock height.

Went to High Plains Raceway this past Sunday. It was my first track experience and I had a blast. Suffice it to say I'm now addicted ...why can't I get cheaper hobbies!

I'm still working on the videos so be patient.

I will say one thing, going to the track certainly change my mod priorities around. BBK, final drive gear, and exhaust are now highest, coilovers moved down some.

The last one is me explaining the air intake to my nephew

Here's a video my brother shot from the hot pits' tower (you can see me at about 0:35)

Here's some video he shot from his phone inside the car (ignore our dumb banter and me breaking it loose a little trying to catch the BMW)

Okay, sorry about the vids...I apparently don't know how to use spot mode on the GoPro so you can't really see outside from the in-car one...

Picked up and installed a Pioneer AVH-2330 NEX. I'm pretty happy with the fitment and the fact that I now have in-dash navigation via AndroidAuto.

Did you install it yourself? I would love to have Android Auto.

Edit: Walmart is listing that unit online with free shipping for $289. It's really tempting...

I did install it myself - it was pretty easy.

You just need:
The USB retention harness allows you to keep your stock USB port.

The wiring harness from Crutchfield really just makes it easier so you can plug and play into the factory harness. They will make you one custom for $20 and it saves on headaches for sure.

The micro bypass allows you to use functions on the head unit that typically require the parking brake to be set. They were a bit overzealous when they locked down features so I recommend getting one of these. I do not recommend watching DVDs while you drive.

For the microphone, I used the aftermarket one they sent with the head unit and wired it up to where the stock microphone was.

If you want to know the differences between the different versions:
AVH vs MVH - AVH has the motorized screen and the ability to play DVDs. MVH does not.
2300 vs 2330 - 2300 lacks HD radio and ability to support front facing camera, 2330 does not

Let me know if you have any questions and I will try to help!

Actually, I just decided to say screw it and write up a detailed DIY guide with pictures. Hopefully that helps!
