It was mid 60's in the morning sessions, the track was prime. After lunch the track got a bit slower and it warmed up to the low 80's. I should have onboard video up later in the week. Still trying to learn this new tire, it's the first time I have run the Dunlops in the dry. So far I am really happy with them but they behave a lot different then my RS3's. They seem to like a bit of slip angle. I also haven't nailed down the pressures yet. I am really happy with the consistency of their performance over the entire session. Last 6 laps of my last session were: 2:00.78 2:01.15 2:01.07 2:00.78 2:01.07 2:00.86 They seem to still have good grip even when they start to feel greasy, or my Solo is broken |

I didn’t get to run Area 27 unfortunately. A bad tune has kept me from the track since July. I decided not to risk the car with the prospect of a six hour tow back if the worst were to happen. Frustrating!
It’s looking like I’m done for the season. Had a solid 7 or 8 events, so I’m not too bummed. I’ll come back next year with either a stable car, or a different car! |

This is my 1:59.85, I know I have more time on the table and my steering wheel isn't straight. No I didn't lift for the Camaro at the end. He didn't need it

Totemo and I will be the in the 59s or 58s next year, that I'm confident of. However, our best times this last weekend were 2:00.xx. In the race it fluctuated between 2:00xx, 2:02.xx etc. A couple things to keep in mind, our minimum weight is 2925lbs and we have 55mm restrictor plates behind our throttle bodies to limit power. This gives a lot of credit to the tires, neither of which were ideal: cording 225 A7s or newish 225 R1-S's which are way too narrow for this heavy car. This is why I think we should be seeing sub-2's in ideal conditions - fresh A7s and race fuel should get us there. It doesn't help that my exhaust manifold separated into 3 sections during saturday's race (still finished tho!) and was welded together by a magician at the track. I'll update the my T4 build thread. Our season has now concluded and now it's time to focus on final developments and next year's strategy to do well at Runoffs. Sunday's battle with Totemo. [ame]http://youtu.be/zgmc_LJY-UA[/ame]

I didn't realize you had to run such a small restrictor over stock. That had having to either defend or take on off line to try to pass doesn't help either. I have really enjoyed watching your race vids this year. Can't wait to see what is to come.

Went out for a Turn2 late apexing day yesterday and set my PR at Ridge. It was ultra hot and tires got greasy pretty fast. Still working through a couple of corners and brake modulation (Not a fan of the XP12...). Still need to work through some sections with third instead of second to see if I can maintain the speed. I am banging off the limiter going into 8A and 13 so I need to figure that out. I might get one more day out of these RE-71R but it could be a partial day. After I cord these I will be done for the season. Next spring will bring more suspension development, 17x9 wheels, and 245 width tires.

B group must have stood for bad though. I missed the first session helping another driver fix his car. Session 2 a Vette spun on the out lap and cost us almost the whole session. Session 3 had a couple race cars in it that kept breaking causing the session to be flagged. Lots of traffic and dangerous driving in general. Clean laps where hard to come by. |
