I'm still waiting for the version with a GT3 engine in it. Come on, Subaru! It's just another boxer!

The car doesn't have an egr valve. It uses reversion to bring inert gas back into the combustion chamber. It's not something they need to "fix". |

I wanted this car, I owned V8 M3 and of course it was quick and yes a Mustang/Vette is quicker still. So? I don't race and think the BRZ is ok speed. 99% of drivers (I'm not talking racers) but regular drivers will accelerate (my estimate) from a stop to 60 in 8-12 seconds. When I can accelerate in a position where I am able to get up to speed in my car, like from a light then merge onto a HW onramp, I can be 20-40 car lengths ahead of a typical driver because they drive like mopes for the most part. In my M3 the fun had to stop quickly because the speeds were just too fast after 6-8 seconds of max acceleration. I am not talking about how fast a car can accelerate, I am talking about how 99% of people drive. I mean Tesla S drivers will drive the as Prius drivers (In my experience). Note maybe you'll live where people accelerate 0-60 quickly every chance they get but not me. People who can do 0-60 in under 4 seconds probably don't do it much (probably) due to law enforcement (in my area) and I know guys with V10 R8 and V12 Aston Martins not to mention 6-10 people with Tesla S who don't really drive faster than what I do in my BRZ. Now that doesn't mean the BRZ is quick but that it is more than capable. cars that I liked when I was younger were the Honda CRX, Civic Si, S2000, my first car was almost a Corolla FX16 which I should have got instead of the car I did buy VW Fox. Chris Harris driving old (small engine) Peugeot explains how much fun a slow car can be.
comparing with the 911R he says : "everything is happening so quickly in the 911 if you give it full beans in 2.3.4 gear you are going very quickly but in the Peugeot you aren't." Peugeot not as fast but (can be) as much fun. This is something why I like the BRZ over big power cars. https://www.topgear.com/videos/chris...-harris-drives Last edited by Rai-zero; 09-19-2018 at 08:13 PM. |

Someone picks a manual transmission car because he wants to feel more control of his driving experience.
Complains when he has to do exactly what an automatic transmission would do in the same situation. Okie dokie |
