Matt here. New to the forum. Ordered a Whiteout last weekend from Charles Barker. Couldn't be easier. Stay away from Priority. They wanted to add $2k. Ripoff. Anyway, the wait is going to suck but worth it in the end. Hope to see you all at some event in the future.

lol there is going to be so many whiteouts around.....must make mine unique lol. I went to priority first looking for a 6 speed to test drive and all they had was the AT. I asked if they would let me test drive it and they said they didnt allow est drives in the fr-s it was like a corvette you dont test drive it. ( mind you I am a well dressed 25 year old military member not some 18 year old punk and the fact that i drove up in a 35k dollar truck should have indicated that I had the funds to buy the car and wasnt there for a joy ride.) I immediately left and went to first team scion where i bought my whiteout. I then returned to priority and found the salesman I had dealt with and told him he really should have let me test drive it then I informed him that I would never return to the dealership and I would tell all my friends to avoid the dealership. He was speechless lol.

A local dealer has agreed to sell me one for MSRP, it's just Priority's website indicated they had one I wanted in stock. (Their inventory btw is outdated, surprise...) I may have to wait a decent while until a preferred color is available, but as far as ordering one is concerned I'll probably just stick local, and McGeorge was nice enough to let me test drive two FR-S's. Plus they have a history with our firehouse. Do you work in sales for a dealer?

Yeah, the guy sounded really indignant when I told him I had zero interest in their game. "You mean other dealers are charging MSRP!?"

Meanwhile, further up the bay at Gloucester...

Great news! I currently have a
2013 Scion FR-S Automatic in Whiteout that is currently priced at $28,411. Dealers are currently getting this asking price due to the rarity and limited production of this vehicle. HamSandwich I will be happy to offer you this vehicle for $27,411. Your total with taxes, tags and fees will come to $28,866.
By "dealers" I mean we, and by "getting this asking due to the rarity and limited production of this vehicle" I mean attempting to charge this extraneous markup because we're hoping you buy our BS about this car being super rare and will just pay us an extra grand or so since we're such great guys/so clever.

Paying markup on a Scion, that'll be the day...

I know, I originally ordered a silver BRZ and though 'Oh good, won't be many out there like it.' Then when I started looking at the FR-S I knew I was going to be in trouble. I hate the fact that every other FR-S seems to be Whiteout, but it looks so darn good! To make matters worse my current Si is white. Wouldn't be surprised if a friend joked 'Oh, you did a RWD conversion to your civic."

Yes sir, I'm an interenet sales manager. Can get you whatever color/transmission combo you want, as long as you're willing to wait.
