All in all, sales numbers will determine it's popularity. I think they will sell more than 1st gen.

Not going to repeat much of what is said here, but I like the redesign (although I am wondering why @1GiantTurtle hasnt spoken up yet, he's probably going to buy 50 of these now).
I would have loved to get this car with steering wheel audio controls. Its easy enough to change the regular way, but having to look sometimes can be relatively unsafe. That said, in a couple years I may have to justify buying an 86 to my wife again Quote:
Note that I said "properly installed." Mine, at the very least, was installed incorrectly which led to numerous serpentine belts being shredded (cause was that they slightly bent one of the mounting brackets at original install that threw an idler pulley out of alignment). I would wager that the majority of problems were caused by crappy installs. Sorry, Toyota, but asking techs who are more used to doing oil changes and basic routine maintenance to install FI with minimal training perhaps wasn't the best choice. Oh, and charging $4,000 for the setup. |

Yawn!! 5hp with a minor face n butt lift. Since its now a Toyota, I wonder if it's they're gonna release the RC or keep it mono spec.

Gathered most of what I need from looking at the photos. Overall, a 2.5% power bump isn't enough to make a current owner come back and look at trading in regardless of one personal opinion on the exterior. Considering that we haven't seen pricing yet I wouldn't be surprised if a price increase is more than 2.5% bump. |

Conflicted Emotions
I'm torn between being thankful that the front bumper is the only thing I'd need to change, and being tempted to go throw up in the bushes after seeing it.

New Rims Toyota badges as well as calling it an 86 finally! 5p increase Dislikes Steering wheel (looks like your inside a toyota corolla) 86 badge on the side Removal of the 86 badge on fender Taillights Still no spoiler as standard Regarding the face-lift itself, I never liked the open mouth grills...however this is not a bad design, i just prefer the original way more. I think the 2013-2016 will be a gem

I like some of the changes, like the wheels and revised interior. Not feeling the front of the car at all and the power bump is a joke (especially since there is most likely a weight increase). I think Toyota continues to miss the mark by limiting the power. And no, I don't think the car needs 300hp, but this car is screaming for turbo that at least makes numbers close to a GTI (210hp/258ft lbs tq). Also give the car Pilot Super Sports as the OEM tire...
