Had mine only 2 months but I have absolutely 0 regrets. I like cars for 90% of what they look like, and I still think this is one of the best looking cars on the road. I could have got anything under ~$60k and I chose this. I don't think I'll ever not love the look of my car.

I've had it for almost a week and I've never looked back at a car so much when I get out of it. I've also never wanted to just drive around so much either. I actually offer to go places.... whats wrong with me!

humfrz

PS - I've had my FR-S for over 7 months now and I still go "check it" before I go to bed. When mrs humfrz asks ..... are you checking your precious car? I reply, NOOOO ..... I'm just making sure the garage door is closed ....

Don't give up on your 911 dream. It's a whole other thing!

From a former 911 owner to dreamers all over the world. 1. Total cost of ownership (TCO) sucks! 2. I loved both of them but My FR-S is more fun in a "I'm not going to kill myself" kinda way. Can you tell how I drive now? Hahaha!

Number one might be true, if you don't do your own maintenance. I do, and it costs very little to keep it running. YMMV,

I did do almost everything myself except clutch and transmission work. Cost of parts is pretty high. Even with the tech manual it was very time consuming. Time is money in my world :-) I guess mine was a PITA 996.

What made you opt out of the more HP camaro or stang? I'm a little torn here. I'm waiting on the monogram to release as I really want leather/push to start and like the Toyota dealer near me, but an SS camaro convertible is really appealing too

Because I just love a good Toyota sports car. My '02 Celica was an absolute joy and I saw the FR-S as the return of Toyota "sporty". Those American cars are just too heavy, handle like boats and get bad gas mileage. Another major factor is the sheer number of Mustangs, Chargers and Camaros on the road. I like to be different as well, lol.

I'd been driving my GTI for a week now because of the cold weather and snow. Today I said screw it and drove my FR-S to work. Made my day. This car is so right.

but i also love the frs like i never loved a car before ......so so in love with my car.....even if the road to getting it was not the happiest
